Heath and Safety Manager

Responsibilities
Provides technical support and direction for H&S compliance programs Develops, recommends and implements programs to assure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations including documentation, reporting, permits, manifests, training and policy development Manages and supports corporate, local, state and federal health and safety regulatory compliance Manages all loss prevention and workers' compensations programs Works with Nurse to track all lost time work, restricted duty etc. Develops and administers H&S training and communication programs


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, safety engineering or related technical field CSP designation highly desirable 10 years experience facilitating and managing H&S programs in a manufacturing environment Must have broad knowledge of local, state and federal programs relating to H&S Must have experience in safety and inspection and audit processes Must have excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills
