May interact with network services, software systems engineering and/or application development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems. Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems. Maintains currency and technical skill in field of expertise. Escalates more complex problems to senior level.* Provide technical phone and desktop support for Desktop Hardware and Software issues to include, installation of network printers and software, workstation configuration, network connectivity problem resolution and Issue troubleshooting.* Administer account access for various systems used within the company* Record and resolve or escalate incoming support requests* Proactively suggest improvements to reduce incoming service requests* Provide quality customer satisfaction, technical expertise, accuracy and timeliness* Develop and deploy computer images for laptop and desktop systems* Facilitate communication upward and across the team including status, variance and technical information* Manage some projects in addition to Service Desk responsibilities* Formulate effective plans and envision goals; Convert complex information into simple, readable form* Team Player, multi-tasker and resourceful* Troubleshoot PC and Account issues in an Active Directory EnvironmentVisit us at www.apogen.com or www.itscorporation.com or www.3ht.com or www.qinetiq-na.com Required SkillsThis position requires a High School diploma and 5 years of related experience. Ability to lift 50 lbs.This position requires US Citizenship.Required Experience* Very strong customer service skills with positive attitude * Verbal and written communications skills, project coordination, and training delivery skills are a must * Expert in the functional support of Microsoft Office 2003 (including Outlook) * Background in help desk and/or desk side support * Extensive troubleshooting of PC systems, networks (TCP/IP) and server systems at a junior helpdesk level * Extensive troubleshooting experience in Windows XP environment. * Extensive experience in the installation and support of desktop hardware and software utilities, network printing, anti-virus, firewall/security protections, and other commonly used applications software.
