Human Resource Manager
The ideal candidate will have a broad-based Human Resource background with a track record of driving best practices throughout the organization. As a member of our team, you will play an integral role in aligning the people and organization to support our business goals and objectives for increased growth and profitability. Core Responsibilities:Instrumental in maintaining a positive employee relations environment and sustaining a culture of engagement. Act as Human Resource business partner relative to all activities that affect the development and attainment of the goals for the Division. Provide leadership and coordination to the various client groups and segments of the total HR system and the delivery of service to the organization. Provide guidance and training to managers/supervisors and to employees on coaching, mentoring, training/development, corrective action, performance management, rewards & recognition, etc. Act as employee advocate on issues/concerns to management and leadership team. Take the initiative to suggest the development of new policies and revision of existing policies as required; ensure the consistent and fair application of all policies/procedures. Prepare and update required information for Affirmative Action Plan reporting. Maintain appropriate statistical data, narrative and goal monitoring. Coordinate and administer wage and salary plans for employees. Manage the staffing and selection activities for open positions and internal career opportunities.
Education, Experience and Behavioral Competency Requirements:
· High integrity and ethical standards.
· Proven ability of maintaining a positive employee relations environment and sustaining a culture of engagement.
· Demonstrated ability to model leadership behaviors on a continual basis.
· Demonstrated ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with management, supervision and employees, including the ability to perform effectively in high conflict situations.
· BS or BA in Human Resources, Management or related curriculum is required. MS/LIR or advanced degree is highly desirable.
· Five+ years experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment is required with demonstrated ability to effectively maneuver in a fast paced environment.
· Ability to apply conceptual, innovative thinking processes to the practical implementation of systems. Must be forward thinking and strategic with respect to HR processes and systems, creating a climate for change. Use influence in the organization to affect change.
· Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of action.
· Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, insight into group dynamics, high tolerance for ambiguity and change are essential. Must be self-directed, flexible and able to prioritize work.
· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
