SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner is responsible for: Leading and deploying People programs and practices: Sourcing, recruitment, compensation, customer face with management, talent development, succession management and performance management. Incumbent is a professional HR, versant with federal and state legislation, aviation training industry and aligned to business requirementsAligning HR initiatives and practices to sustain the growth and business objectives of ICT&S management and Human resources philosophy and approachProviding support, guidance and advice to management on a range of HR and employee relations topics This position is responsible for the New Jersey and Denver Training Centers
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCUDE THE FOLLOWING:
· Provide generalist and specific (i.e. staffing, training, employee relations, etc.) support to management and employees, and recommend innovative solutions to Human Resources related issues.
· Adherence to and knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
· Create, update, and administer HR policies and procedures including job descriptions.
· Assist in various other HR responsibilities, which can include Relocation, Visas, New Hire Orientation, Random drug testing for DOT employees, Employee Activity Committee.
Recruitment and Staffing:
· Responsible for talent acquisition process: Identification of requirements, sourcing and recruiting, selecting and hiring, including attending Professional Job Fairs
· Managing recruitment processes internally and externally, choosing the best recruitment approach to reach optimally the qualified candidates and attract them to CAE
· Providing recruitment support to managers for permanent, temporary and contract staff, liaising with external agencies and appropriate media.
· Taking an active part in assessing the candidate’s attributes towards the job profile and providing feedback and advice to management
· Coordinating candidate interview schedules and issuance of confirmation of interview letters, rejection letters, offer letters, etc.
· Responsible for keeping the Recruiting Module updated
· Various HR projects, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and/or ExperienceBA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or related curriculum, or combination of experience and education.5 years Human Resources experience in a combination of recruitment, employee relations, HRMS, compensation and/or performance management and training.Familiarity or experience preparing and delivering training, including needs assessment and course preparation preferred.
Language SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of management, including succinctly delivering specialized knowledge to assist decision makers.
Mathematical Skills
Must be able to interpret and analyze data and statistics and to apply concepts of basic calculations.
Reasoning Ability
Possess the ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to work in a multi-task team environment.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)Experience working with HRMS systems and databasesAble to work with minimal supervision.Detail oriented.Must possess a high level of initiative and work ethic.Must have good customer service skills.Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills required.Team player. Ability to travel up to 25%, including both domestic and international
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
PHR or SPHR Certification
Knowledge of Aviation Industry candidates given preference
Previous experience supporting site or remote employees
