HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICAL RECRUITER

Located in Van Nuys (In the San Fernando Valley)

ITT Radar Systems  - Gilfillan, a division of the defense electronics and services business segment, develops, manufacturers, and services world-class radars, antennas and related sensor systems for the air traffic management (ATM), defense surveillance (DS) and other applications.

Primary responsibilities will be to perform full cycle recruiting for ITT but also act as back up with HR Generalist functions.  Individual will be responsible for developing and executing proven cost effective sourcing, recruiting and retention strategies that enable ITT to identify, attract, recruit and retain highly motivated employees. Continuously explore alternative staffing, sourcing, and selection techniques to align with industry best practices that support employee retention.

· Talent Acquisition:  Build and implement a structured recruiting process to assist management to identify talent needs, source appropriate candidates, screen or Interview all prospective candidates, hire and on-board.

· Talent Attraction:  Maintain relationships with potential talent to address future possibilities or needs.  Negotiate and manage partnerships with search firms, agencies and other talent & recruiting organizations.  Develop proactive supply chain of candidates. Establish relationships with colleges/universities and participate in campus recruiting efforts to build the talent pipeline  Reporting:  Develop and analyze recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness, implement changes or other best  practices

· Guidance & Training:  Provide guidance and training on interview and hiring techniques for hiring managers

· Legal Compliance & Record Keeping:  Ensure all staffing activities are compliant with State and Federal laws/regulations.  Maintain applicant database to ensure legal compliance. 

· HR Department Assistance:  Perform other HR Generalist job responsibilities to support the Human Resources department as needed.

 

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in business or related field

2. Minimum 5 - 8 years recruiting in a large Corporate environment

3. Technical  Recruiting Experience required

4. Proven track record in sourcing, relationship building and networking

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6. Thorough knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications, Applicant database experience highly desirable

7. Defense/Aerospace experience preferred
