INVENTORY REDUCTION LEADER/RESEARCHER - TURBINE PARTS

ATC, a progressive Supply Chain Management company seeks to fill 2 positions, 1 full-time and 1 part-time for our Turbine Clearance Parts (TCP) Division. Positions will be located in the manufacturing facilities of a major OEM in the East Houston/Jacintoport area of Houston, Texas.

 

Position Overview:  Individuals will participate in a new program to reduce Slow Moving Parts Inventory (SMI) for a major power generation manufacturer reporting to the VP, TCP Division in Lyndhurst, NJ

 

Responsibilities:

 

Inventory Reduction Leader – (Turbine Related Parts) - Full Time Position

 

This position will be the Inventory Reduction Leader and be the principal interface with the OEM. Individual will help identify opportunities to reduce Slow Moving Inventory (SMI) thru various proven processes including tracking daily demands, preparing SMI parts packages to end users and suppliers, preparing monthly commission statements, maintaining weekly status reports, etc.

Experience working with an OEM a plus. Extensive experience in Turbine related parts businesses a must!  Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems required. Significant proficiency utilizing Excel and MS Access.

 

Background in Engineering, Material Planning, Parts Sales, Inventory Management, Sourcing or Forecasting is desirable.

Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment and have the demonstrated ability to research, communicate and obtain acceptance of specific recommendations to the OEM to reduce SMI.  Successful candidate should be analytical, resourceful and organized.

 

Inventory Reduction Researcher - (Turbine Related Parts) - Part Time Position

Attention retirees!! Perfect position for the retiree who wants to work part time. This position requires an engineering background and will work with a major OEM involved in the Power Generation field. Individual will help identify opportunities to reduce Slow Moving Inventory (SMI) thru various proven processes which includes modifying parts to convert SMI to active use. Must be able to read and analyze engineering drawings and communicate effectively with engineers. Extensive experience in Turbine related parts activities a must!  Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems required. Proficiency utilizing Excel and MS Access desired.

 

Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment and have the demonstrated ability to research, communicate & obtain acceptance of specific recommendations.
