JOB SUMMARY

Provides Information Technology education to Kwajalein Atoll community. Delivers group and individual training and instruction covering a range of technical and operational areas, including business office applications (e.g. MS Office), enterprise asset management system (Mincom), IT technical training, and business process improvement.  Manages other permanent and temporary trainers and training vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts individual, group, and organization based needs assessments, as defined by the objectives and parameters of the project; identifies minimum performance standards as appropriate to the target community.

Develops the training plans and curricula; formulates training outlines and determines appropriate instructional methodologies; evaluates incorporation of vendor programs with respect to achieving training objectives.

Coordinates the development and preparation of teaching and visual aids, instructional materials, computer tutorials, and reference materials appropriate to specific program objectives.

 Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes to instructional objectives and methods.

 Provides key input in the formulation of departmental training budgets; monitors departmental training expenditures.

 Provides continuous project leadership to ensure achievement of specific objectives, standards, timeframes, and budget.

 May perform organizational development interventions including strategic planning, group facilitation, team building, and systems analysis.

 Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts, or Social Science discipline.

·  10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

·  Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles, and a wide range of training methods, techniques, and formats.

·  Demonstrated abilities in program coordination and conceptual thinking.

·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

·  Knowledge and proficiency in training management systems.

·  Advanced verbal and written communication skills.

·  Experience in network administration and UNIX, NT, WIN2000 operating systems desirable.

·  Requires excellent English verbal and writing skills including report preparation.

·  Willing to work flexible hours and/or remote sites when conditions dictate.

·  Must be available for international assignment for two-year contract periods (renewable).

·  Must be able to pass company-provided physical for remote long-term assignment.

·  Must possess a valid Driver’s License and passport.
