Essential Qualifications: Must have US Citizenship Preferred BS degree in a computer related field. Candidate must have 10+ years experience with at least 5 years in IT Security. Candidate must possess strong working knowledge and experience with Juniper (Netscreen) firewalls, and Juniper IVE (Neoteris) VPN including SSL VPN. Must be highly organized and possess time management skills. Candidate selected will be subjected to a government security investigation and background check. Candidate must have good writing, communications, and people skills, be customer oriented, and must be able to work in a team environment. Responsibilities: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for and fulfills a key role in the operations, maintenance, development, and implementing of tactical aspects to a centralized enterprise IT Security office.  This includes providing technical expertise in support of daily JSC IT Security Operations.    Candidate must have a thorough working knowledge with enterprise level Juniper Firewalls, and Juniper SSL VPN appliances, as well as a thorough working knowledge of UNIX utilities for manipulating regular expressions and pattern matching.  This experience is critical in providing firewall support, and assisting with remote access for a large enterprise architecture.  The Candidate will also provide tier 2 technical support to the Information Resources Directorate (IRD) Customer Support Office with both connectivity and access related issues while representing the JSC Boundary Services Firewall and Remote Access Group.   Additional responsibilities may include the following activities; providing system logs in support of IT security incidents and investigations, and daily maintenance and operations of existing Firewall (assess and implementing firewall policies), and  VPN (assess and implementing VPN remote access policies) appliances. Conform and support all NASA, JSC, & MEI safety requirements and procedures May require other duties as assigned
