Industrial Security Specialist

Job Description:



Teledyne Scientific & Imaging is seeking an individual, who is multi-disciplined, to join a fast-pased security department. The candidate must possess security experience in both the industrial security and the SAP environment; knowledge in the National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM) and NISPOM Supplement & Overprint. Must possess excellent speaking, writing, organizational and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter who can demonstrate initiative and perform their work with limited supervision. Primary Responsibilities Verify and process all internal and external classified visits for attendance to classified meetings Support Special Access Programs to maintain and account for document control, visitor control, policies and procedures manuals, information system security, personnel security, security education and awareness, and COMSEC procedures Prepare, submit, update, and process all security clearance paperwork. Maintain document control by accounting for and tracking all internal and external classified material Prepare, submit, and implement security plans of operating procedures for appropriate customers Ensure all appropriate documentation is received in reference to security measures per each classified contract Participate in preparing for the annual inspection by the Defense Security Service Ensure proper assignment and surrendering of company property at time of separation Act as the COMSEC Custodian, preparing for annual audits, maintaining inventory, and re-keying communication equipment May be required to conduct initial security briefing for all newly cleared employees as well as the annual refresher briefings for DoD programs Will be required to conduct initial security briefings as well as refresher briefings for employees supporting SAP programs Coordinate and assist with secure telephone calls Prepare, submit and implement procedures in reference to the Automated Information Systems Security Plan (AISSP) Responsible for picking up classified material from several different locations when needed Service and maintain post office boxes used to communicate with proprietary customers Work with accounting personnel to ensure that applicable financial reports and invoices are submitted within program requirements Perform security debriefings as required Perform administrative duties as required

Skills/Experience Requires 5 to 7 years of relevant security experience, which must be in an Industrial Security or SAP environment. Must have thorough understanding of the National Industrial Security Programs’ Operating Manual (NISPOM) Requires knowledge of DoD Special Access Programs, Communications Security (COMSEC), and Special Compartmented Programs Requires knowledge of government security related policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance Must have the ability to respond to after hour’s call-in support of DoD activities including alarms and emergencies Strong oral and written communication abilities with all levels of management, employees, and customers Must be well organized and capable of handling multiple tasks Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes

Education Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration or related field

Security Clearance: U.S Citizenship required. Must possess an active TOP SECRET/SBI government clearance. Investigation must be current within 5-year scope.
