Summary:

- Perform visual and functional inspection of various assemblies, subassemblies and detailed parts in accordance with company and customer specifications and requirements.

- Job requires inspection of internal and external flight hardware and fluid/mechanical systems.

- Candidate should have knowledge and experience in processing and controlling discrepant material using an on-line computer system.

- Previous Material Review Board certification is a plus.

- Candidate should be knowledgeable in the basic requirements of controlling serialized and traceable parts.

 

Duties:

- Perform visual, dye penetrant, and functional inspection of production assemblies, subassemblies and detailed parts using appropriate inspection tools and equipment.

- Work from blueprints, engineering specifications, written and verbal instructions as required.

- Perform in-process audits of factory personnel in support of the Craftsman Program in accordance with documented requirements.

- Perform monthly area surveillance of assigned product areas to ensure compliance with documented procedures.

- Verify proper calibration, validation, hook-up, and preparation of test equipment and test specimens in accordance with documented procedures.

- Perform thorough audits of manufacturing documents, test records, and other build documentation to assure accuracy and completeness.

- Apply appropriate acceptance stamp impressions to hardware and manufacturing build records to provide evidence of acceptance.

- Maintain necessary records and prepare required paperwork and reports. Input data and information into a variety of computer systems as required.

- Prepare detailed discrepancy reports providing clear and concise defect descriptions, and rework or scrap disposition instructions.

- Process Material Review documents through material review process, and maintain control of - Material review Crib in accordance with applicable procedures.

 

Experience:

- Knowledge of the Resistance and Fusion weld processes are a must.

- At least 5 years of relevant training and experience is preferred.
