Inventory Buyer

Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation, the recognized leader in the sale and service of Falcon business jets, has an excellent opportunity for an Inventory Buyer in our US headquarters at Teterboro, NJ.  The hours are Monday-Friday (12:00 PM – 9:00 PM).

 

Inventory Buyer - TEB 1136

Under the direction of the Planning Supervisor, the Inventory Buyer is responsible for the procurement of aircraft spare parts and tooling for stock while ensuring availability as required by the Material Planners.

 

ResponsibilitiesMaintain vendor master tablePurchase inventory based upon receipt of an approved material requisition or to fill a customer backorderResponsible to perform the necessary administrative tasks to support expediting receipt of material as scheduledMaintain price and lead time data for manufacturer-approved vendorsMonitor and report vendor performance on a monthly basisMonitor vendor price changes and provide this information to the appropriate material planner and pricing administratorCoordinate and resolve purchase order discrepanciesRecommend alternate potential vendors for products and servicesOther duties may be assigned by management in order to meet department or business objectives on an as-needed basis



Qualifications

· Ability to work 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday

· High School graduate or GED equivalent

· Two years experience in Purchasing Operations

· Two years experience in actual Purchase Order Placement and negotiations

· Intermediate-level proficiency in the use of PC Windows business software (Microsoft Office preferred)

· Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers and vendors in a professional manner

· College degree preferred

· Familiarity with FAA regulations with regards to parts procurement, documentation and traceability, aviation-related material planning or purchasing experience a plus

· Experience in the use of the aviation industry standard’s Illustrated Parts Catalogs and FAR’s preferred

· CPM or other industry certification a plus
