The Commercial Engines Materials Management organization is seeking a JT8D Product Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with inventory analysts, other product specialists, aftermarket service personnel, General Managers and Commercial Materials Management (CMM)Sales teams to support serviceable material sales to internal and external maintenance/repair and overhaul customers. This position reports to the Manager of Inventory & Procurement based in Dallas, Texas. Other responsibilities include assisting the inventory model manager with developing inventory plans and strategies to support Commercial Serviceable Assets'(CSA)financial goals and objectives for the JT8D engine model. The product specialists' specific focus will be on the JT8D family of engines, however the eligible candidate may also be called upon to assist with other engine product lines depending on experience levels. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for identifying JT8D purchasing opportunities, as well as providing valuable input into the implementation of current and future product growth plans. This is an individual contributor role.

BS/BA in Aerospace Engineering or Aviation Maintenance(AMT)Technology and/or related field required; A&P (AMT)license or equivalent qualifications preferred but not required. Masters degree is a plus but not required.

3-5 years of powerplant maintenance and/or engineering background on JT8D engine models required. A general knowledge and understanding of current part configuration, AD Status, and general aspects of the Maintenance & overhaul of JT8D engines is preferred.
