Java Developer

Position: Java DeveloperLocation: Washington DC metro area **Current TS/SCI with Full scope polygraph clearance required.** Looking for a senior Java developer to provide quick response to customer requests for web-based analytical systems. Will work as part of a dynamic team using agile development methodology supporting mission critical systems that are being expanded and integrated.  Candidates must have skills in the following areas: Java 1.4 / 1.5, CSS, JSP, HTML, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, Ajax. Experience with the following areas a plus: Yahoo! User Interface, Prototype/Windows Prototype, Apache Tomcat, JDBC, Oracle / Oracle Text, Plumtree Portal, Spring MVC or any other MVC framework, Active Directory / LDAP, Designing. Responsibilities: Performs as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of an assigned project. Performs as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assignment, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned software developers working on a specific project. Assists in the scheduling and coordinating of projects and may be involved in the design phase of a project. Works with customers and technical staff in the resolution of software problems and responds to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. Participates in the development of software user manuals.
