Laboratory Animal Technologist



The Bionetics Corporation is accepting resumes for a full-time Laboratory Animal Technologist with demonstrated experience in transgenic mouse breeding and colony management.  The candidate must be knowledgeable of vivarium animal care processes, sentinel program management, and normal research animal behavior, care & nutrition. Proficiency in blood collection, injections and oral gavage is required. Basic requirements include a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field and two years experience in a laboratory animal facility or a two year degree in veterinary technology with four years experience in a laboratory animal facility. American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) certification at the Laboratory Animal Technologist level is required. Practical experience in science and/or biotechnology, equipment/instrument familiarity related to specialized laboratory activities is preferred. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to be on-call, work overtime, weekends, and holidays as necessary to fulfill job requirements.
