Lead Engineer-Tech Supp

Description:The selected candidate will provide technical expertise, as the SPALT Group Lead, in the areas of Tactical and Training SPALT generation, Installation documentation and Deployment for the Fleet Ballistic Missile(FBM) and/or the Attack Weapon System (AWS) Program(s). This individual works closely with the Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to develop optimum solutions that impact Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Alterations (SPALT) documentation development and product deployment. The SPALT Group Lead coordinates between the IPT, SP customer, and the Technical Support Organization (TSO) to develop plans, analysis reports, and provide oversight for the generation of technical documentation. Specifically, the assignment responsibilities of SPALT Group Lead include: - Technical leadership of the SPALT and Installation documentation group- Participation in the resolution of technical issues real time during installation and provide recommendations to the customer and program management- Develop SPALT and Installation deployment plans- Interface directly with the SP23 and SP205 customer- Provide weekly SPALT document/deployment status for L3, Dahlgren, BAE Systems to the customer- Coordination of SPALT activities across multiple contractors- SPALT Process ownership and associated process improvements- ROM/BOE generation and Workload Forecast updatesResponsibilities:Participate in projects for documenting equipment installation requirements.Hands-on installation tasks on-board Navy Submarines and in shore based test berths.Support coworkers and customer initiatives.SecretQualifications:This opportunity requires a Master's degree and a minimum of 6 years applicable work experience or a Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years related work experience. Related work experience includes the deployment/installation planning and coordination of computer equipment in a Naval environment.Applicants selected must be eligible for access to U.S. Government classified information, and must obtain and/or maintain a(n) Secret security clearance and/or special access within 24 months of hire.
