The Lead ISC Project Manager serves as the primary project management P&AM resource within the Aftermarket Services P&AM APU & Propulsion organizations. This role is responsible for evaluating current state methodologies, recommending business improvements and driving continuous improvement through development & implementation of processes, procedures and system changes that reduce cycle time, inventory investment, and maximize cost efficiency throughout the supply chain.  Under the direction of the Director, Demand Planning, this role will drive development and execution of functional & cross functional projects that contribute directly to specific financial and strategic interests (e.g. supply planning, On Time to Request, On Time Delivery, backorders, inventory optimization, etc.). The project manager will work in conjunction with AMS planning managers, material planners, OEM COE’s and Spares coordinators to make step change in supply performance.  Project deliverables will include ensuring sustainability of improvements through people, systems, and tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identifies process and system gaps and determines needed resources, timeline and requirements to streamline and/or automate Work directly with global sites to drive improvement in demand/supply alignment Investigate and validate the accuracy of data systems and processes, maintenance of supply chain reporting tools / systems (SAP, Servigistics, BO functionality) Determines appropriate process measurements and implements methods to institute these measures Develops project plan, including objectives and benefits analysis.  Leads implementation of new process solutions and routinely monitors new processes to ensure that project objectives have been met Gains alignment from managers and stakeholders regarding process change activities Forms and leads process improvement teams that involve and impact internal and external customers Leads key departmental projects by developing and utilizing in-depth knowledge of business processes and systems as well as project management skills Aligns activities, goals and objectives with the strategic goals and key priorities identified by the company Continually improves expertise in process improvement techniques and teaches process improvement techniques to others Regularly updates Management staff, team members and stakeholders on project status, key decisions, issues and results Work closely with supply chain leadership and cross-functional teams to develop & prioritize initiatives that add stakeholder value. Provide support to short term interests that may arise from time to time due to unexpected circumstances (e.g. problem at a supplier, logistics issue, or other system or process failure) Execute as a significant individual contributor to the project and / or lead others through project plans Results will most often be measured in cost, inventory, customer service, risk, and/or productivity Education and/or Experience:Minimum undergraduate, bachelor (BS/BA) degree, preferably in Business/Engineering or related field  - Masters degree preferred APICS, Six Sigma Green Belt, achieved or in progress preferred Minimum 4-5 years experience in related field with a minimum of 3-4 years of Materials Management experience preferably in an SAP environment Well-established track record of increasing levels of responsibility in Materials Management process improvement functions within a manufacturing environment Project management experience and formal project management trainingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven project management and process improvement skills Familiar with best in class materials management practices Thorough SAP experience/expertise (data structure, system capabilities, execution processes, reporting). Experience in the application, and implementation of SAP Solutions including working with Business Objects/intelligence reporting Analytical and complex problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to function in unsupervised environment Project Scheduling, Planning, Tracking & Status Reporting Ability to take calculated risks and challenge the status quo Successful interaction with all levels and disciplines within the organization Ability to recognize the relationship between individual projects and the broader implications for the organization The ability to energize and influence cross functional project teams and individuals including internal and external resources at all levels Ability to analyze process and business data and formulate clear strategies that drive improvement High degree of initiative and ownership, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks Thorough knowledge of industry practices and standards, process improvement techniques (Six Sigma, lean, value stream mapping, other), and functional (supply chain / material management) best practices and techniques. Ability to manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment MS Office and other applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio) to support project work, inventory modeling and effective management reporting and presentations
