MANAGER-QUALITY ADVANCEMENT

Timken Aerospace Aftermarket Solutions is currently in search of a seasoned Manager of Quality Advancement to join our leadership team.  This position is located in Mesa, AZ, and will have responsibility for approximately 35 direct/indirect reports in both Arizona and California (15 salaried, 20 operative).  The primary role of the Manager - Quality Advancement is to manage and lead the activities of a multi-disciplined team in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the facilities' Business Plans, primarily related to overall customer satisfaction and the continuous improvement of the quality system.  Specific responsibilities include: Lead the creation of this area's Business Plan.  Manage and lead the facilities' quality efforts to achieve the overall Business Plan goals and objectives, and foster an environment of continuous improvement. Provide input and ownership for all plant issues as an active member of the Timken Aerospace Aftermarket Solutions management team.  Lead management team in the review of facilities' quality metrics and promote the use of disciplined problem solving techniques and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement in all areas of all facilities. Serve as the center of expertise for Quality System information, and serve as the primary communication link for Quality as well as being the primary point of contact for all TQMS and customer-related issues. Lead efforts to improve customer satisfaction related to product quality and performance.  This includes thorough and timely responses to customer complaints, understanding customer quality system requirements, and developing and managing the systems to satisfy those requirements. Assure that an effective quality system is deployed throughout all facilities to minimize non-conforming product.  Assume full technical responsibility for interpretation of quality standards. Manage all product and process audits to ensure compliance in all processes.  Examples of these audits include AS9100 assessment audits, customer audits, FAA audits, internal quality audits, outgoing quality audits, & TQMS. Lead continuous improvement efforts to drive efficiency, productivity, and quality to world-class levels.A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required with a minimum of 8 years of management experience in Quality or Engineering.  Master's degree in Engineering or Business with 5 years of management experience in Quality or Engineering also accepted.  Additionally: - Proven leadership abilities including the ability to lead teams in exceeding expectations are required.- Strong communication, presentation, and team skills are required.- At minimum, a basic understanding of aerospace product-types and design criteria is desired.  - At minimum, a general knowledge of aerospace quality requirements and/or standards is also desired.
