NMC has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer with hands on experience in a fast paced environment.  Must be able to create simple solutions to Mfg problems. Design and fabrication of our own tooling and fixtures is needed. Plastic injection molding manufacturing experience will be a plus. As is Solidworks or similar CAD experience. 

 

 

Job Overview:

Coordinates project completion by working with project engineers, customer service, planning/purchasing, manufacturing and sales. Works closely with tooling vendors, both internal and external to insure all project requirements are met. Generally operates under detailed instructions and specifications but requires considerable ingenuity to improvise and adapt when necessary. Instructs those who use equipment and fixturing in setup, adjustments/modifications and production use.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

 

1.  Manages assembly and secondary operations related activities of new production projects including responsibility for setting and meeting completions dates.

2.  Diagnoses and determines appropriate corrective action for problems with conditions of equipment, fixturing, tools and processes that are used in assembly and secondary processes.

3.  Creates, reviews and approves fixture and tool drawings for all NMC projects.

4.  Creates Assembly plan with project engineer including work instructions and adhering to program budgets, schedules, requirements etc.

5.  Continually analyzes in house tools, equipment and processes to determine where efficiency can be improved through modifications, renovations or by re- tooling when necessary.

6.  Creates BOM’s for all new jobs as well as maintains current accurate BOM’s for all existing jobs.

7.  Works closely with internal customers throughout projects and assists them with issues such as manufacturing methods whenever necessary.

8.  Must be able to properly communicate with internal customers and others regarding job status, solutions to quality problems and delivery schedules.

9.  Provide problem solving and trouble shooting support to production and others.
