The work environment is fast-paced and high-energy. 1. Continuously monitors progress of all activities, which influence the Master Scheduler’s performance to plan,taking action as indicated to prevent impacts to the established schedule. Reports facts and makes recommendations that may call for assignment of additional personnel, reassignment of work or overtime action.   2. Interfaces with Design Engineering/Engineering Planning, Program Management, Production Control, and Procurement to coordinate the flow of work in process to meet budget, contract, and schedule goals. Identifies and takes action to correct incompatibility in these areas.    3. Approves all MPS changes, adds and deletes. Analyzes and explains changes to material adds from month to month. Measures and reports plant MPS, contractual and revenue performance.   4. Maintains the internal end item schedule (Master Schedule) at a total site level.   5. Ensures proper utilization of MRP systems including the review and validation of assembly lead times and plan versus actual.   6. Coordinates manpower loading, in accordance with established budgets and internal delivery schedules, with Production Managers. Coordinates the establishment of optimum sub-element schedules which provide effective line loading and consideration of all necessary resources.    7.  Prioritizes common work centers in the factory and warehouse.   8.  Coordinates and organizes Production’s proposal efforts, directly participating in estimates for the preparation of schedule related inputs.   9.  Establishes special activities as required and reviews internal procedures making recommendations and presentations to management concerning production flow procedures.   10.  Prepares reports or inputs for reports prescribed by management related to cost and schedule status, significant accomplishments, problems, projections, etc. Assembles group reporting, utilizing internal status of functional and support groups, for customer and management presentation.   11.  Performs other related functions as required.   Note: The above statements reflect the general qualifications, duties, and/or responsibilities, necessary to identify the job and are not necessarily intended to set forth all of the specific requirements of the job or position.
