MECHANICAL DESIGN PROJECT ENGINEER - AEROSPACE COMPONENTS

Our client, a highly successful global aerospace components manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Project Engineer, salary to 75k. This is a critical, high visibility position located in northeastern Ohio.

REQUIREMENTS:
3-8 years experience with skills in Pro/E, design, CAD, fluid mechanics. BSME is a minimum requirement. Experience with GD&T (geometric tolerancing) and STACK-UPS are required. CAD Drafting/3-D Solid Modeling (Pro Engineer Preferred). Finite Element Analysis (Cosmos Preferred). Microsoft Office Products Software (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel) And Microsoft Project.

FUNCTIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reports To: Engineering Section Leader. Department: Design Engineering.

 

Assumes complete program responsibility under the guidance of a Senior Project Engineer and/or the supervising Engineering Section Leader for proposals and projects assigned.

 

Coordinates with the representatives of Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and

Purchasing to plan and develop programs. Estimates and maintains effective control of project and product cost.


Is the primary design agent for the product insuring all analysis for form, fit, and function is complete. This responsibility can be as the primary design engineer, or as the coordinator of design engineering activities performed by others.

 Prepares technical proposals for products including a description of the proposed equipment, envelope, performance, stress analysis, weight analysis, reliability, materials and other data required to satisfy customer specifications.
