Machinist
Omega Manufacturing is a small machining company, specializing in accurate parts made from stainless steel, aluminum, plastic and some exotic materials. It is an air conditioned, well-lit, clean job shop with modern equipment. Our work envnironment is professional and productive. Our employees take pride in their workmanship. Our customers know they can count on us to make their parts to the highest quality standards and deliver on time!
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.
Job Requirements
Read prints and sketchesPerfom setups Ability to operate lathes, mills, and grinders Working knowledge of shop math Knowledge of various metals, feeds and speeds Produce quality parts Capable of inspecting own work using verniers, micrometers, etc.
Projects would include mostly small runs of parts.Candidates should have a positive attitude, and take a positive approach to their work.
Qualifications:
Completion of 4 year apprenticeship program in machining, tool and die, or model making a plus Successful experience working in a small manufacturing shop Must be able to independently manufacture intricate components from prints Good mechanical aptitude
