Maintenance Instructor

SUMMARY

Conducts customer maintenance training of all MDHI aircraft both at the Mesa Training Center and off-site.  Develops or assists in the development of maintenance training courseware.  Serves as aircraft maintenance technical advisor to MDHI customers.  Supports other departmental and company requirements related to these flight operations such as flight planning, aircraft maintenance scheduling, courseware development, and others.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Conduct customer maintenance training in all MDHI products: MD500E, MD520N, MD530FF, MD600N, and MD900/902 Explorer.  Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of MDHI aircraft and systems in order to function as a subject matter expert in the field.Ensures that all classroom materials, tools and practical training aids are organized and accessible for class.Maintains static aircraft maintenance trainers and other training aids in an optimal condition.Maintain a current knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, regulations, and industry best practices.Maintain technical skill/hands-on capability through periodic assignments in Production/Delivery.  Coordinate with maintenance personnel in support of identifying, correcting, and verifying the correction of aircraft discrepancies for MDHI’s training aircraft.Respond to customer inquires for assistance and information.  Provide technical support and serves as point of contact for customers after training.  Support the development of Customer Training department curriculum and courseware.Support other departmental personnel in the conduct of their activities in order to accomplish overall department and company objectives.Support departmental policies and procedures.Other duties may be assigned



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 0-2 year’s work related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working knowledge of MDHI aircraft.Ability to take and follow direction with minimum supervision.Excellent communication and team skills.Fluent in the English LanguageProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Possess, or be eligible for, a U.S. passport.Willingness and capability to travel for work.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCEPrior training/instructional experiencePrior experience maintaining MDHI aircraft.Experience as an aircraft crew chief.
