Maintenance Trainee

Maintenance Trainee Essential Qualifications: Must have US Citizenship Requires a high school degree or equivalent; plus 2 to 4 years related work experience; directly related educational work beyond high school may be substituted as a portion of the work experience Employees classified to this position may be eligible to receive additional training classes to assure complete training during the apprenticeship period.  Satisfactory performance ratings are required in order to advance to the operating position level.  Classification to the operating level will require a bona fide opening at the higher level.Responsibilities: Assists in disassembling and reassembling valves and components. Assists in adjustments and testing of components and valves. Assists  in documentation of components utilized  in oxidizer or fuel systems. Assists in proof and performance tests. Receives extensive safety training and adheres to all safety procedures for working in hazardous areas. Follows the training and instruction provided by  the V&C staff  in preparing for V&C  Maintenance  Level positions.
