Sr. Purchasing Agent
To perform all aspects regarding purchasing of items and material required for company. High School Degree or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years related experience. Upon receiving the requisition from the planner, verify the correctness, part number in Item Master, quantity matches, blueprint and all of the signatures. Contact the vendors to quote the raw material casting/forging, tool, metals, customer furnished materials and MRO items for production. Prepare the spreadsheet and review with the Manufacturing Services Manager and the selected vendor. Obtain the authorized signatures from the in-house personnel. When the requisition returns from the Finance Department, convert the requisition in SYMIX to a purchase order. The inventory is to be reviewed bi-weekly. As the stock items requires replenishing prepare the requisition and fax the inventory requirements to the proper vendor. Prepare on a monthly basis the top ten (10) vendors for raw materials, outside sales, tooling and MRO. Prepare the Savings Report monthly for tooling, raw materials and outside services. Responsible for searching for new suppliers through personal contacts, phone, mail and the internet. Update the Purchase Order Delinquent Report. Update the report in SYMIX and inform all of the planners. Act as the back-up for MRO and Outside Services. Monitor the consignment program. Responsible for compiling the information for the filing of forms 294 and 295.
Health/Safety/Environmental Manager
Must be strong in manufacturing health/safety and environmental. Responsible for multi-facility operations, including out of state. Must also be capable of handling workers compensation. Must be capable of keeping facility compliant with OSHA standards and regulations. Must have a working knowledge of waste disposal and recycling programs. Hands-on manager position.
M.I.S. Manager
Manage the Information Systems Department employees that oversee all aspects of supporting the facilities end-users. B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and a minimum five (5) years of related experience. Proficient in Microsoft, Syteline, Symix, Progress Programming and AS400 Administration. Ability to work well with people and possess the skills in problem solving, situation and conflict resolution. The MIS Manager must be ready to deal with a particular situation, decide upon a course of action and implement swiftly so as to return to the normal working environment. Ability to oversee several simultaneous projects with the proper delegating skills and the precise amount of involvement without interference, allowing the specifically designated personnel to perform their tasks. Responsible for the data base administration of Syteline, Symix ERP system running on Progress. Responsible for the AS400 administration and history data retrieval. Create, modify, test and implement the computer systems. Evaluate and recommend software and hardware for the facility. Administer Local Area Network (LAN) servers, running on Windows NT 4.0 Windows 2000. Responsible for the software installations, maintenance and upgrades. Administer and train end users regarding the Microsoft product. Work with teams of the different Lean Manufacturing events to improve the processes and reduce cost. Assist other divisions with the implementation of Syteline, Symix, or any other computer related requirements, and support them regarding their programming needs.
CNC Programmer
Document all of the set-up information. Review the fixturing. Provide support for fixture design as required. Evaluate the new cutting tools. Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of the parts to determine the dimension and configuration of the cuts. Select the appropriate tools and machine speeds and feed rates according to the machine shop processes, part specifications and machine capabilities. Write the instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide set-up and operation of the machine. Optimize the existing programs. Possess a thorough understanding of the quality control procedures. Ensures that the quality control standards are maintained. Maintain production schedules from the prototype run to production. Provide shopfloor support for the life of the program. Two Year Technical Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Must have thorough knowledge of G code programming. Good CAD solid modeling experience is important.
Quality Systems Manager - Cincinnati, OH
Maintain and monitor the Quality Systems and Procedures. Responsible for the Vendor ratings and approvals.
Responsible for the Customer and NAD CAP audits. Monitor and maintain the customer approvals and ratings.
Monitor the reports regarding quality costs. B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred and a minimum of five (5) years of
relevant experience. Proficient in SPC, geometric tolerancing and technical writing. Has the necessary computer skills
and is familiar with Lean Manufacturing. Experience in Aircraft Engine Components needed.
Process Engineer
Create and plan the type and sequence of manufacturing operations via process router, operation process sheets (backup sheets), character control sheet, and inspection record sheet generation from drawings, models, and CAD files; and perform all required process changes/maintenance to include the generation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Oversee the sign-off of all required MPC (Manufacturing Process Committee) signatures on respective operations within all new and revised processes/routers. Perform process validations and required manufacturing engineering functions (to include standard hour verification) on each manufacturing process through a hands-on review by witnessing the performance of operations and discussions with all involved shop personnel, and other Process/Product Engineers, MPC personnel, and Technical Leaders (i.e. tooling, material handling and machinery, and equipment). Create the required Quality Plans within Syteline which outline all characteristics requiring inspection when receive inspection is being performed on purchased parts. Generate and balloon the outside service drawings/sketches which are used for quoting and the production of vendor manufactured details or services. Draft all required concessions/case records and product repairs for customer submittal and monitor status through disposition. Extract from our system, organize, and draft all information pertaining to first article submittals. With the proper oversight and delegated responsibility, disposition product NMRs and vendor SCARs. Balloon company’s and incoming customer blueprints. Generate the required Tool Design requests, schedule requests, and CNC Program requests per our established systems in support of all assigned programs. Perform all assigned Workstation Audits in accordance with the published schedules. Recommend safety & ergonomic improvements in our material handling devices, manufacturing tools, and workstations to accommodate best practices for shop floor personnel. Perform any required statistical analysis to validate processes and documented inspection results on assigned products. Develop and maintain, as required, development product milestones working with the respective Production Planner & Product Engineer. Perform duties/responsibilities related to this position as assigned by the Technical Leader and/or Business Unit Leader. Requires independent judgment in making decisions that have economic impact to the company. B.S. in a technical field or a minimum of five (5) years experience in a related field. Product Engineer
Assure/verify compliance of manufacturing methods/processes with approved methods/processes and quality
requirements/standards as defined on drawings, customer specifications, and customer contracts/purchase order
requirements through the sign-off of Backup Sheets, Character Control Sheets (CCS), Inspection Record Sheets
(IRS), Tech Plans, internal drawings, and Qual. Plans for purchased items. Review and approve tool requests, the
associated designs and IRSs, and calibration data for existing tooling that is used to manufacture all assigned
product. Perform process validations and required manufacturing engineering functions (to include standard hour
verification) on each manufacturing process through a hands-on review by witnessing the performance of operations
and discussing the requirements with all impacted shop personnel Leaders (i.e. tooling, material handling and machinery
& equipment).Responsible for the oversight and sign-off of product repairs, reworks, and NMR disposition/Root
Cause validation. With the proper oversight and delegation, participate in and lead company’s customer
communication and concurrent engineering efforts for assigned products/processes. Recommend safety & ergonomic
improvements in our material handling devices, manufacturing tools, and workstations to accommodate best practices
for shop floor personnel. Responsible for the accurate generation of first article data packets. Create all required Bills
of Material in support of assigned product. Oversee the incorporation and maintenance of customer issued
drawing changes into company’s systems and processes.Perform the disposition of pre-SCAR (Supplier Corrective
Action Requests) and SCAR non-conformances and take appropriate actions to support all respective vendors, to
include site visits as required by our Purchasing dept. Will oversee the collection and submittal of key characteristic
data, along with the required preparation efforts for recurring product audits. Perform all assigned Workstation Audits
in accordance with the published schedules. Monitor and respond accordingly to CP & CPK values for critical
dimensions identified internally and by our customers. Perform the required Purchase Order Requisition Approvals to
properly flow down the requirements of our customers to our vendors. Review assigned customer contracts,
identifying any concerns with requirements listed and acknowledge review by completion of our QF-1 form in
accordance with the Quality System. Communicate, through our customers’ quality systems, producibility and drawing
problems, requesting changes as required, along with directed dispositions to prevent repetitive concessions from being
required. Work with our Production Planners & Process Engineers to develop and maintain new product and design
change milestones. Review and approve the manufacturing process for customer identified Special Processes along
with the assigned Manufacturing Process Control (MPC) personnel. Communicate requests for process
changes/introductions through our customers’ formal systems and monitor/manage all serial number and/or partial
releases made on affected product. Prepare for and lead efforts pertaining to customer product reviews & audits, to
include Production Readiness Reviews when applicable. Perform required validation on all root cause analysis efforts
and perform follow-through on assigned/accepted corrective actions. Upon approval of any Nonconforming Material
Report (NMR), ensure submittal to Document Control immediately occurs. Ensure the use and approval of Inspection
Method Sheets (IMS) for new and revised CNC programs. Lead efforts pertaining to customer escape research
utilizing all other Business Unit team members to ensure accurate data is quickly available for review by the Business
Unit and Technical Leaders. Perform reviews of and respond to manufacturing cost data ensuring that the right plans
are in place to meet the cost goals of the company for assigned products. Perform duties/responsibilities related to this
