Major Subcontracts Manager, Mechanical and Optical Assemblies/Sub-systems

Administer high dollar major subcontracts from $1M to in excess of $10M in value. Manage the overall sourcing and procurement activities from development through production. Travel internationally as required. Make upper level management presentations on subcontractor performance. Coordinate requirements and strategy with various Business Units across the Enterprise for maximum leveraging opportunities. Lead the program supplier management team and be the focal point for subcontractor performance. Basic Qualifications & Education: - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree - Minimum of 8 years of direct DoD procurement/major subcontract management experience. - Knowledge of ITAR. - Experience with FAR/DFAR. - Ability to travel Internationally - Experience with negotiation of terms and conditions. - Experience with leading subcontract management teams. Desired Skills: - MBA - Direct experience in awarding and managing Cost type contracts. - Experience performing cost analysis of subcontractor proposals. - Integrated Product Team experience (leadership experience a plus). - Six Sigma and productivity improvement experience. - SAP experience.
