Manager, Airframe Engineering

Cirrus Design Corporation, with corporate headquarters in Duluth, MN located on the scenic shores of Lake Superior, designs, manufactures, & markets general aviation composite aircraft. 

 

Job Summary: The Airframe Engineering Manager ensures the technical competency and consistency of the Airframe Design group, manages the workload distribution across team members to support projects, manages group budgets and schedules, and attends to the administrative and personnel requirements of the team. Additionally, the Manager is expected to perform Lead and Project Engineer functions as needed. Qualifications: BS Engineering or equivalent experience.3-10 years design experience in General Aviation. Experience with FAR Part 23/25 Certification, Part 23 Aircraft is preferred.3-7 years Project Engineer/Lead Engineer experience covering all phases Initiation, Planning, Control, Execution, and Implementation. Pro/E Experience preferred Excellent communication skills, Demonstrated leadership, and technical expertise within Engineering Department by being solution oriented, planning, prioritization, and consistent demonstration of accurate and appropriate technical knowledge. Demonstrate creativity and technical knowledge in developing design solutions. Knowledgeable in all applicable FARs, and Standard Industry Design and Maintenance practices.
