Make your next move to Raytheon. Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) seeks several outstanding Project Management/Scheduling Professionals to join our premier Finance organization. Career path will be into program management or internal project consulting. Job Description: Successful candidate will assume a leadership role over a team of schedulers supporting numerous Radar programs in El Segundo. Candidate will provide tactical and strategic planning that ensures compliance with all government defense and civilian policies and regulations to a business area with sales that exceed $1B annually. This individual will have 10-20 direct reports, and will interface directly with senior management and customers as required. This individual will be the focal point for all matters pertaining to scheduling in within their respective business unit, and will be directly accountable for enhancing the proficiency of their staff. They will report directly to the Senior Manager in charge of planning and scheduling in California, as well as be dotted line to the finance directorate. Candidate will have the autonomy to develop and implement policies/procedures that benefit the planning process. Decisions this individual makes in the area planning and scheduling that lead to process improvement and increased customer satisfaction will have a direct impact on the profitability of the business unit. Required Basic Qualifications: - Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in leading project planning exercises, as well as the creation and maintenance of Integrated Master Plans and Master Schedules (IMP/IMS). - Experience in a managerial capacity with a demonstrated record of process improvement implementation. - A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Project. - EVMS expertise. - Demonstrated ability to decompose statements of work into their basic elements and transform them into a workable program plan. - An understanding of and experience using numerous ancillary scheduling products such as Risk+, FastTrak and PertChart Expert. - Demonstrated expertise in the area of analyzing and querying schedule data. Desired Skills: - Intimately familiar with applicable Government regulations, especially pertaining to program planning and Earned Value compliance. - Conversant in basic product development principles, in particular, Raytheon's IPDS, or similar system. - Familiarity with the Theory of Constraints and the Critical Chain Program Management methodology, and would have implemented it on prior efforts. - An agile decision maker and demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. - Experience with various homegrown metrics tools. - Secret security clearance strongly preferred. Required Education (including Major): BS or higher (MBA preferred) in finance or engineering discipline. Would also consider related work experience in lieu of a degree. Security Clearance: Positions at Raytheon may require U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD and the Intelligence Community.
