Manager of Program Finance

General/Other: Accounting/Finance Provides the financial and administrative oversight to ensure that program finance accounting and reporting systems meet the needs of program managers, senior management and other constituents. Determines, analyzes and reports performance of programs by reviewing and summarizing approved contracts. Accumulates and analyzes manufacturing costs, engineering costs, and other specific program expenses. Develops and maintains sources and formats to report periodic and cumulative revenues and costs of specific programs on a percentage-of-completion basis. Reviews and understands terms of contracts, including shipping schedules, nonrecurring engineering payments, partial and advance payments. Reviews and maintains local and corporate reporting requirements for contract accounting (Percent of Completion Worksheets), including total program revenues and costs, revenues- and costs-to-date and estimated costs-to-complete. Participates in program progress meetings and communicates with program managers to incorporate current shipping schedules, change requests and overall program status into periodic forecasts. Communicates with program managers to develop and maintain budgets for manufacturing costs, engineering hours, and revenues; incorporates change requests and updates all reporting to include new revenues and/or costs-to-complete. Prepares program status reports for local and corporate management. Prepares analyses of actual vs. forecast POC for local and corporate requests. Develops methods to monitor ongoing program spending, evaluate proposed expenditures and communicate impacts to program management. Prepares and enters journal entries for program or facility to reclassify expenses as needed to maintain job reporting visibility, determine inter-company transfers to other facilities, and maintain supporting documentation as part of SOX requirements. Establish and maintain communication with program analysts to ensure consistent, accurate and timely reporting of results. Monitors and analyzes actual production work orders of specific program ship sets to measure profitability against forecast. Performs other related duties as required. A bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in accounting or finance; and at least eight years of job-related experience and/or training. An MBA with a concentration in finance preferred.
