Manufacturing Engineer Intern - Assembly and Test

Description:Eaton Corporation located in Los Angeles, CA (near Glendale metro) has an oepning for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern. The candidate will create manufacturing process planning and Bill of Materials in the most economical way while employing lean manufacturing methodologies. Continous improvement projects, inlcuding setup reduction, rework and scrap reduction.. Improve and streamline processes by eliminating waste utilizing value engineering. Proprose and implement cost saving ideas. Determine root cause analysis of nonconformance and make appropriate recommendations.Duties and Responsibilities:*New Product Development transition to production (routings, Bills of Material, tooling and fixtures)*Evaluate, validate, update/create procedures and flow charts to document all key processes used by Manufacturing. *Assist trouble shooting functional test failures in the Focus Factory and provide rework routings, tooling creation and/or modification to enhance producibility.*Assist Operations Excellence team in preparing and performing lean kaizen events, process improvement, and cellular manufacturing implementation.If interested, please apply online at www.eatonjobs.com indicating salary requirements/history.
