Job Description:

Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities to include: Co-ordinate new product launch activities between Design Engineering and ManufacturingImplement Lean Manufacturing techniques. Includes leading cross functional Kaizen events. Evaluate and justify new production equipmentDevelop cost saving methods for profit improvement through productivity studies, material yield analysis and other Industrial Engineering methods Design layouts for new product introductions and production expansion projects. Sustaining activities include: assembly process sheet preparation, Continuous Improvement projects on the shop floor, tooling/pattern control activities and Quality improvement root cause analysis Note:  This position will be working at our facility in Torrington, CT

 

Desired education and qualifications:College degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.At least 2 years of successful Manufacturing Engineering experience in a assembly environmentThe candidate must thrive in a very fast paced work environment. This position requires a ‘hands-on’ approach to shop floor projects. Must be a self motivated team player with a positive attitude who is capable of leading projects to completion under tight schedules.Computer skills required: MS Office and AutoCADStrong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
