Manufacturing Planner -Structures 3 Position Description As a part of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), these multiple positions exist throughout the Puget Sound, from Everett to Fredrickson in Washington to work on Boeing 737,747, 767, 777 and 787 model aircraft. Creates and maintains complex manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations. Organizes, prioritizes, schedules, assigns, reviews and releases work packages. Identifies and develops tooling requirements and performs tooling dispositions. Investigates and resolves manufacturing/supplier issues. Analyzes product definition data to ensure manufacturability of the design. Co-develops work statements and schedules. Creates, reviews and maintains policies, processes and procedures. Develops and coordinates specification and delivery requirements and reviews supplier performance. Knowledge: Has a full understanding of the job. Problem Solving: Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to practices and procedures for guidance. Discretion: Requires no instruction for routine work and general instructions for new lines of work or special assignments; supervision is limited. Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives. Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Impact: Errors would normally result in loss of customer business, material, or equipment to resolve. [ + ] Manufacturing Methods Complete knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems). Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies. Education and/or Experience AA degree in related discipline and 3 to 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
