Best of all, our employees share in the success which results from that growth.Manufacturing / Quality Engineer - 8099 A&FPosition SummarySeeking Manufacturing/Quality engineer for a rapidly growing aircraft fuel tank inerting (OBIGGS) product line. Key programs include F-22, JSF, 737, 747, 777, P-8A, RRJ, A320, A330, A340 and A400M which are in the development or production phase. Capacity and role: Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for products and processes. Provides diverse and complex statistical information for quality improvement by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. Responsible to guide technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. Responsibilities1. Work with design engineers to modify designs for quality and manufacturing needs. 2. Perform MRB disposition and work-arounds for routine and line stop problems. Develop, review and approve manufacturing routes. 3. Problem solving, tolerance analysis, and experimentation to determine root cause of failures. Establish tests for product assurance and or problem solving. 4. Coordinate and lead customer audit events. Prepare FAA conformity packages, review test set-ups, and organize FAA conformity activities. 5. Review requirements on new contracts. Visit suppliers to resolve engineering and manufacturing issues, address quality systems, and review progress on key hardware. Develop tooling concepts for assembly, test and inspection. Requirements · Bachelors degree (BS) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.· Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through six or more years of related experience. · American Society for Quality certification desired. · Experience with new product development - includes manufacturing process development and transition to production. · Knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes and test methods. · Knowledge of AS9100, aerospace quality systems, and engineering configuration management. · Demonstrated problem solving capability. Able to lead projects and process improvement initiatives. · Self-starter. Ability to proactively seek out opportunities to assist the team. Customer-focused. Experience working with suppliers and internal/external customers is important. · ASQ CQE or six sigma black belt certification a plus. Knowledge of SPC and the use of key characteristics.
