Manufacturing Systems Support Analyst

Hexcel is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Support Analyst in our Salt Lake City, UT facility.

Position Responsibilities:
Provide application support services including implementation, configuration and support of in-place manufacturing applications. The primary focus will be the implantation and support of a global lab information system (currently based on Labware). May require programming skills in languages such as visual basic, SQL and reporting tools (e.g., Crystal reports). Will require after-hours support response when system problems occur. Will require flexibility to work during various shifts and may include extended travel (two to three weeks per trip) during implementations. An understanding of engineering concepts including electrical, chemical and mechanical properties, testing and statistical analysis, while not required, would be helpful. This job is as part of a team where direct day-to-day supervision may not be available – the ability to exercise independent judgment is critical for success.

Position Requirements:
- Experience with Labware LIMS or other LIMS products helpful but not required
- Developer skills using Visual Basic, SQL and/or Crystal reports
- Basic understanding of software methodologies
- Experience operating large scale application systems desired
- Effective communication skills when working with technical users
- Creativity and willingness to learn
- Ability to logically solve problems in a top-down fashion
- Education / training / experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment
