Position Description:

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, a division of Saint-Gobain's High Performance Materials sector is identifying a proven Marketing Manager to work hand in hand with the High Performance Seal's SBU General Manager.This top management position, based out of the Engineered Components facility located in Garden Grove, CA, has overall responsibility for the worldwide marketing strategy of the SBU. Develops strategic and operational marketing plans to improve top line sales and profitability on a global basis.Nature & Scope of the Role:This position requires knowledge and experience implementing global marketing strategies and practices with an industrial company. Preferrably an organization that specializes in custom or highly engineered components. Must have a proven record of growing a business through new product introduction, management, and marketing.Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, physics, or material sciences. o An MBA is strongly preferred. • 10 years of progressively responsible work experience including product application, marketing, sales, and/or general management with an industrial company.• 5 years experience managing a team of professional exempt level staff, including mentoring and development of subordinates. • Must possess strong business leadership and the ability to influence decision makers both internally and externally.• Must possess proven believe in commitment and accountability, including strong business ethics and uncompromising integrity.• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including project management experience.• OEM experience or business process development experience is strongly preferred.• Must have the ability to travel worldwide 25-35% of the time. o Typical trip duration ranges from 3 days to 2 weeks.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:• Develop and implement worldwide strategies to improve top line sales and operating profits of the High Performance Seals SBU.• Manages the Product Management group worldwide & works closely w/Sales, Engineering & Operations to develop and implement product strategies, including the development of the company's product portfolio.• Develops comprehensive product pricing strategies to increase sales, market share, and achieve profit margin goals on the assigned products. • Identifies new market opportunities, understands customer's requirements and ensures product performance meets customer expectations to further the reputation of our product lines.• Works w/Sales, R&D, Applications Engineering, Customer Service and Operations in developing new products and effectively bringing new products to market.• Provides multifunctional team leadership on various product activities & business processes.• Partners w/Sales, Engineering, Operations and Customer Support to increase customer satisfaction.• Works w/General Manager to identify merger & acquisition opportunities for external growth including securing the identified M&A transaction.
