Material Planner/Buyer

Dassault Falcon Jet, the recognized leader in the sale and service of Falcon business jets, has an excellent opportunity for a Material Planner/Buyer in Little Rock, AR.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Material Planning Supervisor, the Material Planner/Buyer is responsible for maintaining optimum inventory levels to provide maximum customer service level. To accomplish this task, the incumbent must be able to analyze, organize and execute the requisitioning and purchasing of materials to support the distribution system.

RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible to analyze assigned commodities, initiate requisitions and place purchase orders to maintain adequate inventory levels to meet distribution requirementsCoordinate meetings with Specification and Design group and Little Rock Master List Personnel to provision for new products being installed on aircraftAssist in the resolution of purchase order discrepancies Ensure proper controls within the inventory control system and its interfacing programsReview planning parameters for accuracy and adjust, as necessaryReport inventory service level performance to the Material Planning SupervisorReview the existing inventory levels to identify and propose disposition of Excess/Technically Obsolete products


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED, College degree preferredTwo years material planning experience, preferably in the aviation industryPurchasing and vendor negotiations experienceProficiency with MS Office SuiteAbility to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers in a professional mannerExperience in the use of the industry standard Illutrated Parts Catalog, ATA Technical Manuals and FAR'sFamiliarity with FAA regulations with regards to parts procurement, documentation and traceabilityAPICS certification or CPIM a plus
