The company designs and builds armored vehicles and subsystems for the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and international customers, and is the defense industry's largest supplier of armored military vehicles.Description of Work: Indirect (MRO) Purchasing Buyer Supply Chain ManagementResponsible for managing all affairs relative to the position of Indirect Procurement type material and services Buyer/Planner/Expeditor.Solicitation of bids from competitive sources including analysis of the returned proposals & offers.Proposal negotiation relative to bid offers.Conduct bidder conferences for major projects.Negotiate major service agreements for the Division.Purchase order preparation, placement and continued administration / monitoring to assure supplier performance standards are met, inclusive of contractual terms & conditions.Expediting of purchase orders via communication & on site program reviews.Serve as focal point on issues between the supplier & interfacing GDLS functional/program departments.Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree required. Oracle Purchasing System Knowledge Preferred Occasional domestic travel Strong communication (oral & written) and problem solving skills. Ability to negotiate.
