Materials and Logistics Manager, Anaheim, CA

LARGE CHEMICAL/Materials company needs an experienced Materials and Logistics Manager for it's Anaheim, CA location.  The M&L Manager is responsible for all aspects of production and material planning, purchasing, and detailed scheduling of all materials at the Anaheim CA site.  This includes production planning of order management from identification of demant timing through shipment and returns.  These responsibilities include planning and master scheduling of all materials, shop floor data collection, material movement, work order closure and raw materials consumption, inventory analysis, cycle counting, inventory accuracy, management of service contractors, negotiation of raw materials, supplies, utliities and services to reduce costs, supplier audits, inventory management, and analytical work to provide accurate forecasts of produced finished goods, raw materials, and WIP.  This includes managing the logistics and supply chain budgets.........

Provide supply chain leadership skills in obtaining world class performance in minimizing inventory, reduced lead times, and cost reduction for raw materials and services consumed in the production of prepreg materials.  This position has the accountability and ownership to manage the SI&OP process to drive continuous improvement in on time/on quantity delivery performance.  A major focus area will be utilizing lean tools and improved planning processes to reduce inventory in a growing business. 

Work closely with Quality, Production,Shipping/Receiving, Customer Service, Production Planning Manager, and Global Supply Chain Manager in support of achieving corporate and site objectives. 

Implement strategic inventory and key raw material plans for short term (3-6 months) and long term (3 plus years) implementation. 

Specific responsibilities include responsibility for the following metrics:  Inventory, DOH, SMOG, PPV performance, lead times, Cycle Counts, inventory accuracy, vendor ratings, planning response, and timely completion of supply chain projects to drive continuous improvements. 

This position will manage the planners, purchasing, and inventory analysts' personnel. 

Need strong leadership skills........  BS/BA degree (4 year degree) required in Business, Supply Chain, or technical field.  Need 8 plus years in a MANUFACTURING environment.........
