Mechanical Engineer - AFRL

Battelle's National Security Division is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a full time position with experience in design and operations of thermal systems and concept/prototype development of precision mechanical units to work within the Air Force Research laboratory at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, Florida. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. A full benefits package including health, dental, vision and life insurance, 401k, pension plan, and tuition reimbursement will be provided. Relocation support is not available. The selected candidate will work on Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida. Primary job responsibilities will include: - Responsibility for design, development and operation of thermal systems. - Responsible for technology development; program management, technologies integration; risk management analysis and manage appropriated risk mitigation teams; and technical reviews. - Will draft concept/prototype development of precision mechanical units, program master plans, Risk management plans, cost estimates and other documentation. Additionally, the selected candidate will be expected to travel within the United States. Candidate resumes must demonstrate the following minimum requirements in order to be forwarded for consideration: - Masters degree in mechanical engineering, or other engineering field. - Five years engineering experience working with Government or Industry on thermal systems or related systems and has been an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead or sub-IPT lead.
