Metrology/Calibration Technician

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

 

Metrology/Calibration Technician is responsible for calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing of electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, dimensional, vacuum, mass, temperature, pressure, flow (liquid & gas), pH, conductivity and indicating instrumentation for conformance to laboratory standards. Additional responsibilities include all support tasks, processing all documentation and preparing reports relating to repairs. Determine acceptance criteria, interpret data, evaluate data, select the best possible standards available that will give an acceptable uncertainty.Possess integrity, a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, a high degree of self-motivation, and a strong work ethic and the ability to function in a team environment.Computer literate with MS Office, computer databases and administrative duties as related to the metrology lab.

 Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and coordinate calibration activities simultaneously and have the ability to prioritize changing workloads while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Work overtime, travel when necessary.

 


Qualifications/Requirements:Minimum 3 years experience in calibration or education/experience in the field of metrology or PMEL/TMDE training. Experience working in an ISO 9001, cGMP and ISO/IEC 17025 accredited Metrology Lab.Possess knowledge of a broad spectrum of test and measurement equipment and the applicable reference standards.RF Microwave experience preferred.Capable of working under little or no supervision.

·  Analytical and process instrumentation calibration experience strongly desired.

 

·  Have an excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.

·  Capable of lifting equipment not to exceed 75 pounds.
