Mgr II Software Engrg

Performs engineering tasks associated with new and ongoing software engineering projects and service as a subordinate to the Software Engineering Manager. Executes work assignments, updates task completion statuses, and ensures productivity, quality and internal and external client satisfaction goals and objectives are met. Develops solutions and supports mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for interventions and problem solving with project managers, fellow engineers and clients. Required. 8 years experience working software engineering projects. Experience in three or more of the following domains: Ada programming, C/C++ programming, database development, Windows programming, Solaris programming, system administration, or system support. Demonstrated experience on projects or portions of projects related to the development of new and existing products. Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Developmental tasking may include tracking resources, ensuring project availability as well as product compliance. May perform ongoing operational tasks of a Project Team or unit as directed by the Engineering Manager, Raytheon Technical Services Company, Warfighter FOCUS Program. Desired Skills: Performs required research to respond to customer’s administrative correspondence including, but not limited to: Requests for Information, Field Notices of Action, Supplemental Information Letters, and Engineering Change Proposals. Researches and is familiar with, as well as confirms the applicability of all relevant specific trade practices as they relate to specific Raytheon field engineering missions. Prepares various government forms and correspondence, maintains all files and long term record keeping in accordance with Configuration Management provisions. Hardware development experience is not required, though experience working on projects including hardware development or integration is desirable. May be required to travel in and out of country. Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, EE, or related field.
