Mgr III Business Development

In this role, the BD Lead oversees and coordinates the new business activities in OSP. Leads the development and implementation of strategies and plans with appropriate short and long-term balance for the maximization of Raytheon content in Operations, Maintenance, &Engineering (OM&E) programs. Responsible for identification of opportunities and pipeline management for OM&E programs in support of OSP AOP and 5-year plan objectives.Enables/supports "one company" strategic business teams. Works closely with capture leads to develop winning approaches to customer problems.In addition, supports competitive intelligence proposals, customer communications and relations, corporate and business trade shows, enterprise IPT’s, and steering committees. Develops relationships across the industry including customers, subcontractors and teammates, with appropriate government agencies as appropriate and internationally as required. Maximizes customer satisfaction. Identifies and aggressively pursues new business opportunities. Capitalizes on competitive intelligence and market data and clearly understands competitors’ strengths and weaknesses. Continuously improves BD processes’ customer satisfaction, GATE, capture and proposal bookings/OMS forecasting, NBR allocation, strategic planning, TAP, BD Website, Etc. Accommodates the planning and data needs of management. Coordinates trade shows, and attendance at association events/conferences. Supports communication and public relation strategies and actions with external audiences. Basic Qualifications/Required Skills: 12+ years of experience. Domestic business development experience required (international experience desired for remote site integration). Understanding of classified ground system operation and maintenance required.Capable of operating independently, guided by broad policies and objectives. Able to provide team leadership, operating with other top managers in developing and establishing business policy.Visionary, capable of assessing the entire range of Raytheon OM&E capabilities and configuring innovative solutions to customer programs. Prior military or government civilian experience is a plus.Must understand the budgeting and procurement processes of government agencies. Must have established credentials and close interface with government agencies/industry. Proven experience in large multi-contractor teaming agreements. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Strategic thinker with demonstrated track record of success. SCI-level clearance required.
