Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer

Vertical Power ( http://www.verticalpower.com), a small avionics company, provides the world’s first solid state power switching system to the Experimental Aviation market. Our systems range from a glass-cockpit controller to rudimentary switch controller, all of which are fully adaptable to the aircraft and the way a pilot wishes to control his system. Our systems can determine the phase of flight of the aircraft and provide context sensitive information to the pilot; automatic power switching, checklists, and engine display enhancements are just a few features that are adjusted based on the current phase of the aircraft.

We are looking for an embedded software engineer who is looking to get in on the ground floor and make a significant impact on our existing and new products. They will design, develop, and test software for existing avionics products. They would work alongside marketing to define new features, enhance existing features, and create new products to meet the needs of the experimental aviation market.

Professional Experience 

3-10 years of relevant experience in embedded software development.

Education

Minimum BS in CS, CE, or EE.
