NDT Inspection Manager

NDT Inspection Manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Direct and plan the daily operations of the NDT department and ensure adequate coverage of all applicable projects is maintained. 2. Develop and maintain NDT processes, procedures, and polices. 3. Maintain qualification as a TIMCO designated Instructor. Assist in the development of and deliver training courses for all TIMCO Inspectors assigned to NDT. 4. Maintain the facilities and tooling assigned to the NDT department in a serviceable condition and recommend changes/upgrades as necessary. 5. Evaluate and develop Inspectors assigned to NDT. 6. Resolve disputes pertaining to production related to quality and compliance. 7. Ensure adequate NDT coverage during all stages of maintenance. 8. Assure proper training is afforded to NDT personnel and only qualified NDT Inspectors are assigned to perform inspections. 9. Responsible for all work performed by NDT personnel. 10. Investigate, validate, and develop root cause analysis based on corrective actions for all late finds, internal, and external audit findings associated with NDT personnel. 11. Assure all aircraft work document errors for assigned Inspectors are corrected in timely manner. 12. Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task. 13. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. 14. Ensure self and department follow all safety procedures and specifications. 15. Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties. 16. Support subordinates in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling, and guidance. 17. Manage assigned employees in accordance with the TIMCO Human Resources policies and procedures with respect to administering disciplinary action, correcting time keeping errors, and conducting performance evaluations. 18. Manage operations in the most effective manner, eliminating waste, and improving productivity. 19. Be authorized to act on behalf of the repair station.1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. 3. ASNT Level III qualified in the following forms of non-destructive testing: Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and Radiographic. 4. Seven (7) or more years experience as a mechanic or inspector on heavy transport category aircraft. 5. Three (3) or more years supervisory experience. 6. Must have a valid driver's license. 7. A thorough understanding of FAR parts 21, 39, 43, 65, 91, 121, 125, and 145. 8. Intermediate computer skills. 9. Must be able to communicate effectively and have leadership experience / sound leadership skills Language (read, write, speak, and understand English)
