We are currently seeking a Navy Regional Training and Readiness Coordinator for Navy Region Southwest located in San Diego, California for full-time work. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. Navy Regional Training and Readiness Coordinators will provide Regional Commanders with subject matter and technical expertise to establish, implement, and sustain Commander Navy Installation Command (CNIC) N7 Training, Readiness and Exercise programs in support of programs related to Antiterrorism (AT), Emergency and Consequence Management (EM/CM), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN), and the Fleet, Family, and Fighter. The position reports to the Protection Manager within the Navy Maritime Ashore Readiness, within Battelle Crystal City Operations (BCCO). Individual will be responsible for the technical quality of products and services offered. The successful candidate will: - Support the Navy regional staff with the technical management and execution of any aspect of regional and/or installation training, readiness, and exercise programs, plans and policies. - Assess the Region's current training, readiness, and exercise program capabilities, identify deficiencies and capability gaps, and provide a summary assessment report on necessary enhancements. - Develop Regional Training, Readiness and Exercise Implementation Plans and plan of action and milestones (POA&M) for the implementation and transition of the Navy Train, Readiness, and Exercise Programs through the execution of the Navy Warfare Training System (NWTS), Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS) and Navy Training Management and Planning System (NTMPS) for implementation of the CNIC's Shore Response Plan (SRP) and Shore Response Training Plan (SRTP). - Assist the Navy regions with the management of Training and Exercise related programs executed by the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological Defense, and other DoD offices. Provide technical and programmatic support, analysis, liaison, and support to related acquisition and logistic programs. - Reviews JCIDS Documents for warfighting efficacy and ensure proper integration of cross SEA Power 21 Pillar review for capability requirements impacting multiple Pillars (Sea Base, Sea Strike, Sea Shield and ForceNet) in the Sea Power 21 organizational construct. Maintains awareness of JCIDS documentation and related efforts at all levels of DOD with a potential to impact CNIC installation capabilities and readiness. - Oversee Ashore response program development and integration of Navy Mission Essential Tasks (NMETs) into shore training programs, exercises and assessments to inject training performance/lessons learned feedback into shore training. Some travel may be required. The candidate must be capable of holding a DoD Secret security clearance. Required Experience: - Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in training and education or equivalent experience. - Minimum of Six years experience in executing training and exercise programs. - In depth knowledge of the Navy Warfare Training System (NWTS), Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS), and Navy Training Management Program (NTMP). - Mastery of analytical and management theories, principles, and practices, along with a comprehensive knowledge of the DoD Requirements Generation System (CJCSI 3170.01 series); Acquisition Management System (DoDI 5000 series); and DoD and Navy Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution (PPBE). - Must have the ability to track all ICD/CDD/CPD and DCR's throughout the Joint Capability Integrated Development System (JCIDS); Acquisition Management System; and Planning, Programming and Budgeting Execution (PPBE).
