Network Engineer/Analyst - Principal 1354

Plans and evaluates complex networks and conducts site surveys. Makes recommendations on purchasing new products and works with vendors. Designs complex networks and provides technical expertise and oversight during implementation phase. Develops technical standards and interface applications. Identifies and resolves security risks. Presents studies and briefings to customers. Participates in preparation of technical proposals. Resolves complex network problems. Provides guidance to other network analysts. Provides operational support for a network environment comprised of 50+ HP servers with Windows 2000/2003 and Exchange 5.5/2003. Performs daily systems checks and maintenance tasks and implementing new systems and technologies into the network environment. Troubleshoots and resolves local and wide area network problems relating to network operating systems and email systems. Work with other engineers on tasks and projects where required for implementations, new technology testing, etc. Writes implementation plans and change requests as needed. Expertise is needed for triage and troubleshooting local and wide area network problems, network operating systems, SharePoint, and email system related issues. Will need to address multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must Have the Following: U.S. Citizen. HP Servers.
