To apply for this position visit: http://www.dyncorprecruiting.com/ext/detail.asp?dyn1937 Position DescriptionDynCorp International, LLCNetwork Engineer Sr. PrincipalJob Summary: Leads and oversees the complex installation, analysis, evaluation, & support of network communications including LAN/WAN systems.General Responsibilities/Principal Accountabilities:Leads the evaluation, design, integration, and maintenance of VSAT satellite communication systems and services.Performs remote site engineering integrating network and VSAT systems to optimize performance & reliability. Conducts analysis and planning on company-wide services to support strategic planning and procurement.Supports the Corporate Network Operations Center (NOC) in establishing bandwidth monitoring and VSAT system management. Responsibilities May Include:Designs and implements VSAT satellite communication systems based on appropriate principles, theories, methods and techniques.Ensures solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reusability.Supports the corporate Network Operations Center (NOC) in the provisioning, implementation, and monitoring, troubleshooting of VSAT and Network communications.Leads development of VSAT solutions for proposals and creates strategies to win business in foreign markets.Provides oversight of VSAT projects, including development of timetables, budgets, and status reports.Monitors VSAT satellite communication systems to ensure they are operating according to contractual service level agreements.Manages VSAT satellite communication systems to ensure they support corporate network architecture and operations.May consult with business unit contract operations and program management staff.Management Responsibility: Provides work leadership and training to lower level system engineers, engineers, and architects in all phases of enterprise wide architecture development projects/initiatives.Physical Requirements/Working Environment:Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.Ability to travel and travel internationally to areas such as Middle East, Africa, Asia, and/or South America and may work in abnormal or unusual remote working environment and/or conditions.Location Specific Considerations:NoneRequired SkillsKnowledge and Skills:VSAT and/or Network Certification Training ProgramsiDirect management software or equivalent.CISCO IOS network software.Professional Certifications and Microsoft Professional Certifications.Ability to remain current on CISCO and Microsoft platforms.Demonstrate independent problem solving skills.Demonstrate good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers, including various country Governments.Ability to uphold integrity and confidentiality with access to all information on the Company network.Experience:Typically ten (10) plus years experience in network engineering.Education: Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years college.
