Network Security/IA Engineer

General Dynamics C4 Systems' Communications Networks Division provides defense and government customers with radios and leading edge communications capabilities. Special emphasis is placed on development of communications technologies, real time software, leading edge component and future radio products for next-generation battlefields. Will work on a team of design engineers to define and elaborate on system security/information assurance requirements; and test/verify compliance of subsystems and systems to meet those requirements. Write technical papers documenting trade studies, survivability/vulnerability assessments, and design decisions. Present security designs at component, subsystem, and system design reviews. Configuration of IA and IA-enabled products; support configuration of networking and application developement to comply with Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Plan, manage, and independently execurte assigned tasks. Requires knowledge of DODI 8500.2 network security requirements and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP) and working knowledge of DOORS requirements management tool. Prior DoD/military experience a plus. Good oral and verbal communication skills required; candidate will conduct presentations to large groups in design reviews. Broad general knowledge and experience on a variety of IA products, especially firewalls, intrusion detection systems, security architecture, and network management systems desired. BS Degree in a technical field related to systems engineering +8 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree recommended.Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
