Hexcel is seeking a Noise Engineer 1 in our Casa Grande, AZ facility.

 

Position description:

This position is responsible for providing technical support in the areas of work methods / work flow, computer system support, and process improvement projects for Acousti-cap noise suppression and measurement. Provides system administration for, trains and educates department employees for procedures that affect this product. Assist with developing Acoustic product PCD’s and WCI’s and production routers. Maintain all acoustic correction factors. Maintain all thermal rayl shift factors. Provide technical support for testing and customer test requirements. Maintain and upgrade lab and online production rayl test systems. Develop in-process controls to reduce acoustic variation. Upgrade software on testing and process control equipment. Maintain a safe, clean and secure work environment. Actively support and interact in monthly and/or plant refresher safety training using available resources and prescribed goals to determine and subsequently help eliminate actual and potential safety issues, unsafe acts and/or conditions to preclude accidents, to keep Hexcel employees safe, and to achieve the Department/Plant and/or Corporate Safety goals and objectives. Operate at all times in compliance with the Hexcel Casa Grande Quality System and Quality Policy. Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.

 

Position requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Aerospace Engineering from a four-year college or university with courses studying jet engine noise and its suppression. Must have working knowledge of and experience with Acoustic Analysis using wave tube Apparatus, flow resistance test apparatus, and general impedance measurement systems. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proficiency in the use of Lab View, Mat lab, Auto CAD and Solid Works strongly preferred.
