Bring your talent and skills to the following IDS group: This position is located on the island of Kauai, Hawaii at the Pacific Missile Range Facility. Local candidates preferred. Job Description: Responsible for the management of the environmental, occupational health and safety programs and ensuring quality standards of materials and processes at the THAAD facility located at PMRF in Kauai, HI. Interprets, investigates, and ensures compliance with federal, state, local and company standards. Identifies hazardous workplace conditions and takes appropriate action to eliminate and protect company assets. Implements methods and procedures for inspecting and evaluating equipment for accuracy of products and equipment to ensure compliance with company quality standards. Monitors and/or audits daily programs, operations and trains staff on EH&S and QA standards, methods and procedures. Interacts with MCVC EHS and QA staff and other management and customer representatives to coordinate requirements. Partners with team to achieve site goals and focus on continuous improvement. Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline or combination of experience, training, and education plus four years of combined QA and safety related experience. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Four (4) years experience in a similar capacity with dual responsibility in Safety and Quality Assurance. Knowledge of Federal and State rules and regulations in environment, health and safety, investigative procedures, quality methods and standards, ISO 9001/AS9100, and MRB and CM tools. Must have computer skills with Excel, Word, Project, Power Point and management systems. Other Requirements: Active secret security clearance. Exposure to energized equipment, and radar radiation hazards. Travel to remote sites to support site requirements. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as a Senior Engineer in Safety and QA. Knowledge of Project Management, CMMI standards and leadership skills. Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), 40 Hour HAZMAT training or OSHA 10 hour course for General Industry. Must be a self starter, communicate effectively in oral and in writing, and work in a team environment.
