Optical / Optical Systems Engineer

This position will lead the development of optical and electro-optical sensing and imaging systems.  This position will also assist the company in business development and product development efforts by providing technical direction in this area of engineering expertise.  Specific activities include: developing product concepts and proposals; designing, building, and testing models and prototypes; transitioning prototype designs to high volume manufacturing; working with customers to define requirements for deliverables; working with the company’s engineers and program managers to ensure customers’ needs are met. Specific Technology and Product areas include: Electro-Optic Sensors, Electro-Optic Infrared Imaging Systems, FLIR Systems, Multi-Spectral Imaging Systems, Hyper Spectral Systems, and related Electronic Sensing and Imaging Systems for military programs. Background Requirements for this position include: * B.S. or above in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related degree; * Strong experience with optical design software tools, specifically Zemax and/or Code V.* Strong experience working on the development of optical and/or electro-optical sensing and imaging systems; * Prior experience developing military technology for DoD programs, including holding a current or prior security clearance. Please forward resume (Word version preferred) to: nlasky@mri-rtp.com   MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
